Why join GRCO?

Sure, there are many other consulting firms looking for talented individuals like yourself. So why should you consider us?

We believe we can offer you an opportunity that is pretty hard to find in the industry. For a start, GRCO is a boutique firm with a small and dedicated team and with a flat hierarchy. Our management is directly accessible and ready to take decisions when you need them. Being a small firm, we are highly entrepreneurial and agile.

But at the same time, your work environment will typically be shaped by the large multi-national institutions that are our clients. Which means you are getting the best of both worlds.

What would you be doing at GRCO?

The work you do will be challenging, and it will change from one engagement to the next. Each time, you will have the chance to meet new people, solve new problems and gain new perspectives. You could be selecting a new solution for market risk management at a wholesale bank in one engagement and shaping a client’s risk culture with regard to money laundering and financial crime in the next one. In some projects, you will align closely with IT departments, in others you will be advising the front-office. We can’t promise that your work will be easy – but it won’t be boring either. And over the course of time, you will gain valuable experience across a Broad range of functions and institutions.

How will we turn you into a consultant?

Consultants are not born as such – they are forged through a combination of training and on-the-job experience.

When joining GRCO, you will apply (or learn to use) advanced consulting techniques and typically work on the kind of issues that are critical enough to our clients that they are prepared to actually spend money on them. And our strategic partnership with IMFU Institut enables us to offer you the training you will need to change our clients’ business.

Our training programme focuses on methodologies for consulting and business analysis, workshop facilitation, leadership, project management and functional topics, such as new regulatory requirements our clients are facing.

What are the options for my next career steps?

At GRCO, we hope to be able to offer a work environment that lets you stay on and grow your experience to the benefit of yourself and of our clients. However, if you are looking to take a next step in your career, then we are always happy to help you. Most of our alumni go on to join one of our clients, with the kind of head start you get from extensive experience and a strong network in the industry. But if you would prefer to be an entrepreneur and founder, developing an innovative product or service – then we would be happy to support you with our experience and may even provide financial backing for your idea.
